Spanish New Mexico

Spanish peoples permanently settled in New Mexico in the late 17th century with most of the Mission churches and villages founded in the 18th century. The arts of the late 18th century and the first half of the 19th century as well as the Revival Period of the first half of the 20th century are the foundation of Coulter-Brooks collections.

Truly one of our long-time specialties, we find wonderful examples of all of the decorative arts of New Mexico dating from the very early 19th century through the Revival Period of the 1930s.
